Perhaps before I yelled
“Get out of here asshole!” today at the creature, I should have made sure my neighbors were not around?
Today, for the first time all summer, I saw the creature.
Actually Zion saw it in the garden.
He alerted me by growling at it.
Good kitty.
It was a squirrel, and damn it, it was a really cute squirrel.
I wish I didn’t hate that little bastard.
Mean while Zion has a new phobia of number one, the dark and number two, being outside by him self. Number two comes from the fact that one day this summer he snuck out and was outdoors by himself for a whole day. He THOUGHT he wanted to be an outdoor cat, he was wrong.
I just left him out side by himself for about a minute and he just about shat himself.
Which really is not so bad I guess, if you are a cat and your are out doors any ways.
Back to Zion being afraid of the dark, (I thought cats were nocturnal?) he was on the porch at night a few weeks ago and saw a bat. Now he’s terrified to go out side at night.
I know it SOUNDS like this cat is a terrible hunter but wait for tomorrows blog about his exciting day as an outdoor cat. (Are you tired of cat blogs yet?)
Sierra, my other cat is slightly normal. Well besides the fact that he is terrified of ants and will not go in the kitchen right now because there are ants in the kitchen. Instead he sits at the edge of the kitchen and howls at me.
He also hates thunderstorms, but he loves me as you can see from this picture I took of us on the porch during the last thunderstorm, where he was being rained on.
I’m pretty sure he’s thinking in his little head “Why is it raining on me? And why do YOU like it? Can we please go inside now?”
