When I go camping I like to eat delicious high quality food with as minimal clean up as possible. It’s a pain in the ass to wash dishes while camping unless you are RV camping and let’s face it, is that REALLY camping? I prefer sleeping around a campfire in a tent from my local camping equipment store with a canopy from Independent Cut Length in South Australia and wake up to a delicious breakfast that can keep me going throughout the day.
When it comes to breakfast while camping I want breakfast to be high protein, delicious and fast.
I don’t usually want oatmeal so I look to other options.
How about this cousin to french toast but slightly more donut like, Coconut Cinnamon Raisin Donut French Toast Bites.
Before going camping I like to pre mix the eggs and Greek yogurt and bring along in a zip lock bag. This makes for easier clean up, less dishes.
Cut the bagels into bite size pieces before you leave your home and store in zip lock bags.
These steps in advance will make clean up at your camp site fast
Coconut Cinnamon Raisin Donut French Toast Bites
4 Trader Joe’s Cinnamon raisin Bagels (This brand is sprouted wheat, high in protein) cut into bites size pieces
4 eggs
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
maple syrup ( for drizzle after cooked)
1 cup coconut oil
Mix the eggs, cinnamon and Greek yogurt.
Dip the chunks of bread in the egg mixture than deep fry in the coconut oil.
serve with maple syrup, powdered sugar or cinnamon butter ( I like the Earth Balance brand cinnamon butter spread)
You could also pre mix cinnamon sugar in a plastic bag, spread the sugar on a paper plate and dip the donuts in the sugar after they come out of the hot oil.

My friend recently bought an RV and she always tells me how much she loves it. She joined the good sam club and although her RV was pretty expensive to buy, she says it’s worth every penny! Apparently she also decided to look custom marquees to help identify her camp site easier after exploring! She says she loves it.
