I just came back from a ten mile run in the snow to find my Mom making Sauerkraut and Kielbasa in the crock pot.
My Mom’s half of the family is Jewish and my Mom makes the best Jewish food. I feel so blessed that this is a cuisine alive with history that our family embraces.
Jewish food like Matzo Ball Soup or Fried Chicken Livers are so great on a cold winter’s day.
When I walked into my parent’s house and smelled the warm vinegary sauerkraut smell… I was just in heaven.
