What’s Included in Your Jeep tour to Bluff Lake
This Jeep tour follows a rugged dirt road for about six scenic miles to the breathtaking beauty of Bluff Lake. Often considered a local secret, Bluff Lake is one of the most stunning places to visit in Big Bear Lake. The drive takes approximately twenty minutes, and we’re happy to stop along the way for photos whenever inspiration strikes.
As a longtime Big Bear local, I’ll share stories about life in the mountains, a bit of Big Bear history, and my favorite recommendations for making the most of your visit. Once we arrive at Bluff Lake, we’ll enjoy an easy 1.2-mile walk around the lake—a gentle, mostly flat trail that is even stroller-friendly. For comfort and safety, I do ask that children be at least two and a half years old, as the dirt road can be bumpy for younger little ones.
Your tour includes beverages, which we’ll enjoy lakeside while taking in the views. Please note that Bluff Lake is a privately owned preserve, and we kindly ask all guests to follow the posted rules: dogs must remain on leash and be picked up after, we stay on designated trails, and swimming is not permitted.
This experience is approximately two hours, with longer tour options available for those who would like to explore more of this beautiful area. Bluff Lake Jeep tours are offered from May through November, when the preserve is open.
