Where Did all the Cats go?

Today I spent some time at the San Bernardino Subaru Dealership.
This was a new dealership across the highway from where the old one was located in the lovely ghetto of San Bernardino. Seriously, we were almost accosted by a shirtless crack head on a bike causing me to scream “These people are to poor to afford clothes!”
Or maybe they spend all their money on meth?
Anyways, the dealership moved across the freeway since I have visited this area of San Bern-a-ghetto, so we drove the long way and got the scenic view of the smoggy, graffiti covered Southern California city.
When we reached the new dealership there was one big problem.
   There were no cats.
In years past the best part of visiting my local Subaru dealership was the fact that there were cats. EVERYWHERE. The employees of the dealership let all the stray cats live in side the dealership so they wouldn’t be run over by Subaru owners in their WRX’s or STI’s or maybe the cats were tired of being screamed at by all the people on meth; I’m assuming.
I loved the cat experience at the Subaru dealership. Get an old change? Pet a cat while you wait! Tires need rotating? Play with an orange tabby!
I love businesses that have animals, it feels so small town like you just walked into an old book store in Talkeetna Alaska and here is a black and white striped cat asleep on a chair in the corner. (Only replace chair with cat inside pile of tires) Cat’s make a homey addition to any business, in my opinion.
When I complained about the lack of cats to a sale man he pointed out that they were messy… And now they have a popcorn machine! Would I like some free popcorn?
Seriously? What kind of person thinks that POPCORN is better than cats?!

Trust me…I miss the cats too and can’t begin to think what happened to them because I probably know and want to cry. I even remember the orange tabby (btw something like 99% of orange tabbiess are boys) and the gray tabby and the black cats…sigh..they were all so friendly.
