The C Word

Our second day of our lovely beach vacation we went to the C word for lunch. If you ever find yourself hungry on the Central Coast you must visit the C word.

Of course I’m sure locals don’t call it that.

I’m sure locals can pronounce places like Paso Robles and Cayucos and Avila Beach but the Central Coast is a confusing place! I mean you try to pronounce Avila the Latino way in this community and it’s wrong! ( it’s pronounced like “available” not like A Via-A as most Southern California’s would pronounce it.)

Therefore we just refer to the lovely seaside hamlet of Cayucos as

the C word.

The C word was less than three miles from our campsite at Morro Strand State Beach and it is one of my favorite tiny little beach towns. The restaurants in this tiny little town situated on Highway 1 will blow you away!

Our plan was to enjoy all the fresh clam chowder and smoked salmon tacos this little beach town had to offer, but unfortunately we totally pigged out at breakfast so instead we grabbed coffees from the cute little coffee place and hit the road for a day of beer tasting in nearby Paseo Robles.

Beach vacation day two… And go!
