I’ve never ever been a fan of Rice Crispy Treats, until I tried the healthy version. I never cared for them because they are to chewy and my jaw gets tired.
A “cookie” shouldn’t make you be in pain, not til afterwards when you eat all of them plus extra cookie batter and are stuck on the toilet for an hour anyways.
I make these with nut butter instead of marsh mellow fluff. These are amazing in that they are a perfect high protein snack for backpacking and they don’t really melt.
Brown rice cereal
Your favorite nut butter, Almond, peanut, cashew or macadamia nut
Mix all ingredients together. Form into bars and refrigerate.
