Justice in California is Nothing more than a Joke

California.

The Annual tournament of Roses parade every New Years Day makes it seem like a utopia. Imagine Sunny Los Angeles January first; floats covered in millions of gorgeous roses and expensive horses decked out in liveries finest, pulling decked out carts and wagons down Colorado Boulevard. To anyone trapped inside on an eighty degree California morning by a nor’easter in Boston or Baltimore So Cal may seem like a sunny beach side place to raise a family; palm trees, Santa Monica and Disneyland. Why wouldn’t any one want to live here year round? I mean you can ski one day our snowy mountain slopes and eighty miles away you have sandy beaches and surfing.

Sounds like a fairy tale of surfers and movie stars, right?

Except for a few little things; living in the most liberal state in the wild west has its distinct disadvantages. As in criminals seem to have more rights than the law-abiding citizens in this Democrat run state.

Yesterday the man who killed Phil in a drunken hit and run was sentenced to 18 years to life. I just keep thinking about that; 18 years to life for taking an amazing man away from his family and friends forever after this douche bag William Johnson decided to drink a bottle of vodka in the middle of the day and then take prescription pain killers on top of it.  A few years in jail is a slap on the wrist for killing a great man who was loved so deeply by this small Southern California desert community on the edge of Los Angeles.

This SOB drunk could be out on the streets again in half that time with good behavior. I mean, he already had multiple DUI’s before he killed Phil last February. This asshole could be out driving the streets of Southern California with his trusty bottle of vodka in his hand eight years from now!

This is California; where criminals get away with barely more than a slap on the wrist. I know, I know, it’s a trend across our once great nation. Look at Ferguson Missouri; a cop can’t do his job these days with out himself being turned into the criminal!

It breaks my heart to see the direction our nation and the way California in general is these days. Well, maybe my heart is just breaking for many different reasons with yesterdays events.
