Coconut Sweet Potato Fries with Spicy Sugar Dust

Hiking Mt Baldy is definitely not something I would recommend when suffering through the Budweiser Flu.
I had plans to hike Mt Baldy this morning with six friends; thank god T cancelled last minute and the trip kind of fell apart.
Yesterday when I purchased Vodka of the Gods (You know the vodka in the plastic bottle because it bounces nicely when you drop it instead of shattering) my coworker mocked me insistently for buying one of the cheapest vodkas around.
         I scoffed at him
“I don’t drink very much; Vodka of the God’s has never done me wrong!” That was yesterday and yes, I may have been wrong about the vodka in the fancy plastic bottle.
When T cancelled this A.M. I was trying hard to pull myself together and tried to call the girls to cancel the trip and everyone else told me that they still wanted to go, just on an easier hike.
So I pulled my head out of the toilet and laced up my new Merrill hiking boots.

It was time to hike and sweat out the vodka and build up an appetite so I could enjoy these sweet and salty fries in a few hours!

Coconut Sweet Potato Fries with Spicy Sugar Dust

2 tab organic or raw sugar
1 tsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt

In a mortar and pestle crush the sugar, cinnamon and spices until very fine.
Fry the sweet potato fries in the coconut oil and dust with the spicy sugar.
